Michigan Concealed Pistol License (CPL) Safety Course Practice Exam

During a traffic stop, CPL holders are required by law to immediately inform the officer that they are carrying a concealed pistol. Concealing the firearm under the seat or doing nothing and keeping the firearm concealed are both incorrect options. In fact, concealing the firearm or not informing the officer can result in serious legal consequences. Similarly, handing over the firearm to the officer is not a requirement during a traffic stop, and should only be done if specifically asked to by the officer.
